Dads-Fathers of Texas, was started out of love, frustration, and the inability to find someone to listen to my needs and concerns for my child.
For almost 20 years, I have been involved with the Attorney General and Family Courts. It isnot that I was one of those men who ran from being a father; instead it was a disagreement between me and my child's mother, and my life has notbeen the same.
Once you’rein the Attorney General’s web it is almost impossible to be on even terms with “what’s best for your child” because their main focus is money and not the child's best interest or yours (my opinion, only).
Child support papers only gives suggestions regarding visitations, schooling, and so forth, but they arenever enforced; so when it comes time to see yourchild or caring for their wellness, the Attorney General is notconcerned with a father’s rights. Their main concern is receiving monthly payments on time.
Today more than ever our children need both parents' love and attention. It took me many years and a river of tears to learn that very important lesson, by creating Dads-Fathers my hope is for some of you to shed less tears.
Dads-Father’s goal is to work with both parents to resolve differences and create a structure that is best for yourchild and to prevent more fathers from having to deal with the courts. However, if you arealready in the Attorney General's web, then let’s discuss how we can perhaps make it a little less stressful for you.
Dads-Fathers is not just a program that gets you to sign some papers or read a book, we take a hands on approach and share our years of experiences.
I would like you to remember one thing, “you and your child's mother should understand that you’re the only two people who will ever know what’s best for your child”.
