There's a proverb that states, “it takes a village to raise a child”. I fully agree, we must share in keeping our children safe within own communities and even surrounding communities. One of the greatest protections is “knowledge”.
By educating our children from youth to adulthood, we are protecting them from today's greatest pitfalls, the legal system. Not knowing has been a big problem for both mothers and fathers, especially when it comes to Family Court system. Now and again, misguided parents are called, “Deadbeat Dads” or “Baby Momma Drama”.
Dads-Fathers of Texas is asking you to Team-Up with us in educating our parents beyond their role as providers, but their legal roles as parents. Although there are no step-by-step training manual for raising our children, Dads-Fathers have created something close enough, called “F.L.I.P.” or Fathers Learning and Involvement Packages/Programs. Too often, fathers are very quick to disconnect from their parental responsibilities for several reasons and Dads-Fathers goal is to help change that mentality.
F.L.I.P. helps parents to communicate regarding topics and issues concerning parenting and Texas Family Laws; it will help parents to come to decisions that are in the best interest of the child(ren) verses discussing personal matters.
F.L.I.P. addresses issues at each stage of a child's life, from birth to 18 years of age. The program will helps parents to consider both parenting issues and legal issues, as well as, put in place a conflict resolutions strategy and help in outlining what's best for the child(ren) doing a divorce or separation; making it a great tool for new parents.
Lets Team-Up and educate all on how to be better parents and create our community village for the next generation and FLIP the script from "Deadbeat Dads" and "Baby Momma Drama" to "Co-parents".
