WHY IS THE DADS-FATHERS RESTORATION OUTREACH NEEDED?
The basic premise or principle belief of our Dads-Fathers is that fathers, as much as mothers, want to be an active part of their children’s lives, growth, and development; father's desire to have meaningful connections and impact on their children’s futures.
These same fathers, however, are often frustrated by the intrusion and imposition of the “system” and the belief that the “system” is not working on their behalf or in the best interests of their child(ren).
These same fathers often become non-compliant and some even become aggressive and violent, the attitude is not because of disinterest, but resentment and frustration. Fathers “opt out” of the system by refusing to comply with court orders (paying child support), by doing so they run the risk of civil and criminal penalties.
Other than hearing, "you need to go get an attorney"; where can a father (NCP) turn to for help, to consult regarding their options regarding visitation, child support payment, modification, DNA, and more?
With the Dads-Fathers of Texas Restoration Outreach we will educate fathers (NCP) and provide family courts an alternative option that is a helpful resource for men facing child support issues, separation, divorce, and re-connection with their child(ren). Our programs have assisted several NCP, mostly fathers, with understanding their role as parents, stepping-up to their parenting financial requirements, understanding their rights as a parent, and creating a better line of communication with the custodial parent, which benefits the child(ren) most.
These fathers (NCP) are re-affirmed in their position as co-parent, equal with the custodial parent, and they are encouraged to actively participate in the system in a way that optimizes their chances of success and benefit to their children.
